While it is certainly my hope that I am following God’s leading sharing the things He has used and is continuing to use to transform and build my faith, I am well aware that His Word is perfect, indeed flawless and I am NOT. Even as I pray that God will use the riches of His perfect Word to encourage your heart and bless you with wisdom and understanding, I pray just as fervently that He will keep the imperfect observations I may offer from hindering your faith walk in any way. So while the commentary offered in these posts may entertain you or start your wheels turning, only His Word can restore you, refresh you, and renovate your soul – go there often.
You do not need to wonder if you will find a word of encouragement there or if you will come away stronger than when you flipped open the pages. The God of wonder and amazement promises to show you more than you can possibly imagine. He invites you to call to Him and issues a divine guarantee regarding the enormity of the answer: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”(Jeremiah 33:3, NIV 1984) What glory might we see if we would but ask?
Beloved, God has gone to great lengths to whisper to your heart and reveal His Nature to you in personal, unique ways. My own experience confirms for me that neither a righteous background nor an extraordinary intellect is a requirement for looking beyond what we can see and Glimpsing the Glory of the One we cannot. In fact, I am walking, talking assurance that the “Extraordinary of God” will be revealed to the most unrighteous and utterly ordinary among us. Never doubt that the Creator of communication is fluent in the language of your unique soul as well.
Since it isn’t possible for us to pull up a chair, pour a cup of coffee and chat about all that God is doing in, with, and for us I’d love it if you would drop me a note. Few things knit souls closer, even those who may never speak face-to-face, than giving voice to the love He is speaking over us. There’s just something to be said for walking side-by-side, hurt-by-hurt, joy-by-joy and living the thing out with one another. I hope you’ll give us the privilege of Glimpsing Glory through your eyes.
